Comparing Vampire Movies

For this week’s entry I will be comparing vampire movies. I will be writing about the differences and the similarly of vampire movies, and not forgetting vampire television series too. In the old vampire movies for vampires, their appearances are unattractive compared to the vampires nowadays. Example, Nosferatu he was super pale, real ugly, bold and had real long nails (ok, perhaps some other vampires in vampire movies do have long nails). But the vampires in this century are gorgeous, basically, you can name any movies or any television series mostly all the vampires are very good looking. For instance, “Twilight”, “The Vampire Diaries”, “True Blood”, “Queen of the Damned”, “The Lost Boys (1987)”, “Interview With The Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles”, “The Forsaken”, “Fright Night” and more.

Besides that, vampires are not supposed to go under the sun because it is deadly to them. Unfortunately, some vampire movies and television series are able to be exposed to sunlight. Example, “Twilight” and “The Vampire Diaries”, but at least not all of the characters in The Vampire Diaries are able to be exposed to sunlight. A vampire will need a ring and a witch to cast a spell on it so they are able walk in daylight. On the other hand, for Twilight it’s a completely different thing. Why so? It’s because they are able to walk under the sun without turning into ashes and they do not need a ring whereby a witch can cast a spell on it. All it does to the vampires in Twilight is sparkle.

The first photo is Stefan and Damon Salvatore in a car in daylight. And the second photo where the sun reflected toward Stefan's body where he did not turn into dust. If you also notice that when he was passing a photo of Katherine to Bonnie, on his hand was a ring. That ring is the only thing which keeps him alive when he is under the sun.

Moving on, some vampires can eat regular food and consume blood and some vampires do not eat regular food but could only consume blood.

However, in the movies vampires are originally human who turns into a creature of the night and once you turn into a vampire you will stay that way for all eternity. But there are also some movies that were human turn into a vampire and then finds a way to turn themselves back to human. Example, Daybreakers, Near Dark and Blade Trinity. In Blade Trinity, a character name Hannibal King was turn into a vampire then he was treated and is now a human again. So there are variety methods to turn vampires back to human but it is based on the story if the movie.

Hence, vampires are supposed to sleep in coffins and they prefer to stay in a crypt. A lot of vampire movies do still use the story where vampires do sleep in coffins and a few of them do not sleep in coffins in one particular movie where vampires do not sleep at all is yet again Twilight. Over the years vampire movies made drastic transition, movie by movie their symptoms of vampirism are different. Are not crucifixes deadly to vampires? What about holy water, garlic and church? One way or another as the generation progresses the vampires in movies and television series change whether we like it or not. The only thing which seems to stay the same is their thirst for blood.

Then again, similarly from all the vampire movies and television series are the need to consumer blood. From the movies I watched which had similarly are "Queen of the Damned", "Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles" and "The Vampire Diaries". Their similarity are in according to turn a human into a vampire they will need to exchange blood and once exchange their human body dies and they instantly turn into a vampire. These films share the same transition in turn into a vampire and not forgetting the two movies share similar names like Lestat ("Queen of the Damned" and "Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles"). All of the vampire movies/TV series I watch over the years once turn into a vampire, they will never grow old. But for Blade Trilogy the vampires will grow old, its process of aging is at a much slower rate compare to humans.

Introduction to Vampire & History Of Vlad III The Impaler


When we hear the word vampire, what’s the first thing that came to our mind? They are known as the undead. They will never age and will never die. Vampire are without souls, they sleep in coffins and drink blood. Well we all know that vampire’s does not exist, they only exist in the movies and in vampire novels constructed by our imagination. But nowadays, their are people who self proclaimed themselves born as vampires, like "Don Henrie". He is known as the top of all vampire society and the vampire of our time. He admits in an interview that he drinks blood, sleeps in a coffin and does not engaged in any sexual activity.

The vampire novel is inspired by Bram Stoker’s 1897 novel “Dracula”. And Bram Stoker was inspired to write the novel from a historic figure Vlad III Dracula or better known as Vlad the Impaler. He was the Prince of Wallachia. Vlad grown quite a reputation inflicting the cruelest punishments on his victims (Williams, 2009).

Feedbacks From Society On Vampires

This are some of the negative comments people have on vampires. Saying that it is crazy to think vampires even exist. Yes, people have their own believes but theres no need to be so harsh. Anyways, this are the comments they have on Michelle Belanger. She did a talk on "ASI's True Life Series, and is titled 'I am a Vampire'", held in Chumash auditorium.

Comments are people's personal thoughts on certain things. They have their own right to write what they think is true, some may disagree and some may agree. But this is the way of life, so we have to deal with it. As a conclusion, real vampires are really interesting and fascinating if you have an open mind to it (no-disrespect to people who do not believe). Everyone has their own believes and mine happens to be this.

Vampire Fangs

Like in the movies vampire have fangs, their fangs comes out when either they are about to feed on the innocent, get into a fight or gets sexually turn on (as from the TV Series “True Blood”). Fangs have been one of vampire trademarks and also in some vampire movies their eye color are different from normal humans.

For real vampires in United States they have places where you can get them done. They help you bring out based on how your inner nature is like. They can choose to be more obvious or make them non-obvious but with a twist. When I say twist it means on the outside, they dress and look normal but once they open their mouth and start talking people will know he/she is a vampire. They have various types of vampire fangs and contact-lenses. All you have to do is tell them what type of contact-lenses and type of vampire fangs you like and they will achieve to your expectations. Vampire fangs they have “Classic Vampire Teeth (a.k.a Dracula Teeth)”, “All Sharp Vampire Fangs”, “Nosferatu Vampire Fangs” and more. So what are the differences between all these vampire fangs? Well let me simplify it for you.


Classic Vampire Teeth
They only have single fangs like Dracula, observe from the image given. It does not look that intimidating at the first sight but it is the aftermath you should be terrified of.

From reading “All Sharp” you can guess how the vampire fangs are. The fangs look scarier as you do not regularly see modern vampires have.

Believers & Non-Believers in Real Life Vampires

There will always be a constant issue with people who do not believe in the existence of a real life vampire. And some people even say “if you think you’re a vampire or even think vampires really exist on earth then you are a moron”. Harsh words but these are words we will hear everyday from a non-believer. There are other far worst words being said then this but its life. It will be a tough job to make a non-believer into a believer, for me and to others who believe in the existence of a real life vampire it is not necessary to go through great lengths to prove that they are real. But people do need to be educated on their existence, either they choose to accept it or not.

So if you’re wondering what is a Psychic Vampire? Well psychic vampire they do not drink blood but they take other peoples energy, it can be their own donor or simply take it from people who they do not know. Believe it or not they need it to survive just like in the movies. If you’re wondering how they take energy from people? Here are a few ways psychic vampire take energy (or feed on a person’s energy) from people:
  1. Contact Feeding
  2. Directional Feeding
  3. Tendril Feeding
Actually psychic vampire and blood vampire are similar. Because both require energy, when blood vampire drinks fresh blood they consume energy which is within the blood. It is only the form of feeding energy which is different.

Contact Feeding
Contact feeding means when a psychic vampire makes contact with its donor like touching them. Example, psychic vampire’s can take your energy by a hug, holding your hands. And if they wish to get more energy from their donor it can go as far as kissing or sex.
Besides that, there are things like taking and sending energy. Well everyone have a hand which can send and take energy. To say if you write with your right hand then, your left hand is to drawn energy, while, your right hand is to send out energy and vice versa.

For directional feeding their methods are also using hands to but not a direct contact to the person they wish to take the energy from. But when I say psychic vampire using this method with their hands are by turning their hands into a heart shape, an arrow shape, heart out shape and others. Then they point at their preferably donor or above a crowd to take in the ambient energy. And while they are drawing energy from their donor whom they prefer or from a crowd, must remember to breath. As you breathe in, focus on drawing in with your mouth open to begin with.

Tendril Feeding
This technique is more advanced and it is what most psychic vampires use for feeding. I will be explaining in more detail on how this technique is used.
The Tendril Feeding Drawing in with Breath
For this method a psychic vampire will need to focus on a donor from across the room. Next, they reach out with their mind envision a long tendril extending from their subtle body to the donor. Psychic vampires attach their tendril so that it penetrates, if it does not happen for the first time then “Try Again”. Now they envision their tendril hollow and suck in the energy like a vortex by using their will. And as they inhale, they will draw in the energy with them.

The way psychic vampires take energy may seem silly to you who are a non-believer but this is not a silly matter because psychic vampires really apply this methods so they are able to continue their daily life.
Thus, when you read this article I am sure you are rolling your eyes or saying “Yeah Sure” or even “This Girl Is Crazy” but this is how it will always be when you are a non-believer, call them whatever you want but they could not care much of what you think of them.
